Oni Ramp Privacy.
This notice explains what personal information Oni Ramp collects, why we use it, who receives it and the choices you have.
01 · The short version
Only what we need. Nothing shady.
We collect information needed to operate the shop and respond to you.
We use data to fulfil orders, provide support, prevent fraud and improve the site.
Marketing is optional. You can unsubscribe or exercise your privacy rights.
Who we are
Oni Ramp is responsible for deciding how personal information covered by this notice is used. In data-protection law, this makes us the data controller.
Trading name: Oni Ramp
Email: info@oniramp.co.uk
Telephone: 07391 285 826
Returns: Please contact us before sending any item back. We will provide the correct return address and return instructions privately by email.
What we may receive
- your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address;
- order details, product choices, account information and customer-service history;
- messages, contact-form submissions, reviews or other information you choose to send;
- marketing preferences and records of consent or unsubscribing;
- technical information such as IP address, browser, device, cookie identifiers and pages visited; and
- fraud-prevention, transaction and payment-status information supplied by payment providers.
We do not need or intend to collect special-category information such as medical data, religion or political opinions. Please do not send such information through ordinary contact forms.
How we use information
- to process payments, fulfil and deliver orders, and manage returns or refunds;
- to create and administer customer accounts;
- to reply to questions, complaints and collaboration enquiries;
- to maintain records required for tax, accounting and legal purposes;
- to protect the website, customers and business from fraud, misuse and security threats;
- to understand and improve website performance and customer experience; and
- to send marketing where you have consented or where another lawful route applies, with an easy opt-out.
Why we are allowed to use it
Contract
We use information needed to take steps at your request, complete purchases, deliver products and handle returns.
Legal obligation
We retain and use certain records where tax, accounting, consumer or other laws require it.
Legitimate interests
We may use limited information to operate and improve the business, provide support, keep the service secure and prevent fraud, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Consent
We rely on consent for optional email marketing and non-essential cookies where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Who receives information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only where needed with organisations that help operate Oni Ramp, including:
- Squarespace, which hosts the website, shop, accounts and forms;
- payment and fraud-prevention providers;
- postal, courier, fulfilment and printing partners;
- email, customer-support and marketing providers;
- analytics and technical-service providers, subject to cookie choices; and
- professional advisers, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies where required or permitted by law.
Providers are given only the information reasonably needed for their role and are expected to protect it.
Payments are handled securely
Payments are processed by the payment methods displayed at checkout. Oni Ramp does not receive or store your complete card number or security code. Payment providers process that information under their own privacy notices and supply us with limited transaction details such as payment status, amount and fraud checks.
How the website remembers
Squarespace and connected services use cookies and similar technologies to operate essential functions such as security, checkout, accounts and basket contents. The site may also use optional analytics or marketing technologies.
Where required, optional technologies will not be used until you make a choice through the cookie banner. You can revisit those choices or use browser controls to remove cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the shop from working.
Cookie and analytics settings may change as the website develops. Where a choice is available, you can manage non-essential technologies through the site’s cookie controls or your browser settings.
No forced inbox noise
If you subscribe, we may send Oni Ramp news, product releases and offers. You can unsubscribe through the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential messages about an order or customer-service request.
We may retain a minimal suppression record so we can respect an unsubscribe request.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including customer service, disputes and applicable tax, accounting or legal requirements.
- Order and financial records are normally kept for the applicable statutory accounting and tax period.
- Routine enquiries are retained only while needed to resolve and document the matter.
- Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or it is no longer useful, subject to a minimal suppression record.
- Technical and analytics information follows the retention settings of the relevant service and cookie choices.
Information may be anonymised so it no longer identifies anyone, after which it may be used for statistical purposes.
When data leaves the UK
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on recognised adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards and associated risk assessments to protect transferred information.
How information is protected
We use proportionate organisational and technical measures intended to prevent personal information from being lost, misused, altered or accessed without authorisation. These include restricted account access, secure platform services, strong authentication and keeping access limited to people and providers who need it.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will assess it and notify affected people and the ICO where the law requires.
Young visitors
Oni Ramp may appeal to skateboarders of different ages, but the online shop and customer account services are intended to be used by people able to enter a purchase contract or by a parent or guardian on their behalf.
We do not knowingly request unnecessary personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information without appropriate permission should contact us.
Questions or concerns
To ask a privacy question or exercise a right, email info@oniramp.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing personal information.
If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address the issue first.
This notice may be updated when the website, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
